Mansfield with Monsters Launch a Roaring Success

Mansfield with Monsters, the second release from local publisher Steam Press, was launched into the world on Saturday at a festive event at Kapiti Coffee House.

Fuelled by Mansfield Molotovs (Drip-filtered, chilli-infused coffee) and delicious cakes and slices, publisher Stephen Minchin and authors Matt and Debbie Cowens spoke of their appreciation for their silent partner Katherine Mansfield, of the hard work and fun that had gone into the creation of the book, and of the considerable contribution of the academic Marcus Walker to the project.

Mansfield with Monsters is scheduled to be reviewed on Radio New Zealand’s nine-to-noon show on Wednesday the 11th of July. Don’t miss it.

For more information about the book’s genesis, check out this interview with the authors:

Mansfield with Monsters is available from and from bookstores around the country.
