Elizabeth Knox on writing literary & genre fiction

Earlier this year, I attended WORD, the Christchurch Writers Festival, where I saw Elizabeth Knox deliver the inaugural Margaret Mahy Memorial Lecture. I was very struck by her observations about the natures of literary and of genre fiction and how these relate to her own writing.
