LIGHT IN MY DARK
by Jean Gilbert & William Dresden
Series: Beyond the Wall book one
Genre: YA Fantasy
Stuck in the mountain town of Glen Eden, Harper Deveraux has longed for an adventure ever since the death of her mother. Even her mother’s journal full of incredible stories of a make-believe world called Non wasn’t enough to placate her restless spirit.
Jack Everett is content with life as it is, except for one thing- his ‘best friend’ status with Harper. With the Moon Dance coming up, it is his chance to make a move and ask her out as a date, a real date, if he can get up the nerve.
All that changes with the arrival of a new student, a boy with striking blue eyes and strange ways. Harper’s mother had drawn those eyes in the journal. But how could that be? There is a fascinating darkness to Knes that Harper cannot resist, and Jack cannot compete with. Strange things start to happen, both for Harper and Jack. Neither one talk about it, for who would believe them?
When Knes asks Harper to the dance, there is no going back. For the world of night is calling to her, and Knes has come to show her the way.
Light In My Dark is an action-packed modern YA fantasy, filled with dark forces, love, and self-discovery.
