SpecFicNZ’s Special General Meeting, scheduled for 19 September, has been postponed. We had hoped to have our annual financial statement ready for you to review and approve by that date, but the accounts have proven to be more complex than anticipated. We want to be sure we have a complete and accurate accounting before we present the financial statement to you, so we’re postponing the meeting to a later date. Stay tuned—we’ll let you know when a new meeting is scheduled.
In the meantime, there are plenty of ways you can be involved:
- Write a blog post—Want to announce a book release? Advertise an event you’re organising? Share cool writing ideas and techniques? Get in touch and let us know what you want to blog about, and we’ll put you on the blog schedule.
- Put your hand up to help organise SpecFicNZ’s presence at CoNZ 2020—Contact the SpecFicNZ core to let us know you’re keen to be involved.
- Join the SpecFicNZ core—Want to help on a regular basis? Contact the Core and we’ll teach you the secret handshake so you can join our monthly meetings (no travel required).
- Send us your ideas—Tell us what you’d like to see SpecFicNZ do for you. Want us to organise more local meetups? Want regional speculative workshops? Want a SpecFicNZ Tardis for travel to cons? Toss your ideas our way and we’ll see what we can do (no promises…). And if you’re willing to help make your idea come to life, that’s even better!
Don’t be shy, just send us an e-mail!
