Serena Dawson spent her childhood making up dramatic adventures for her toys, wherein they survived all manner of danger but no-one got left behind. She grew up on adventure books, while exploring the forests and fields of Northlands’ East Coast on horseback and on foot. Homeschooling afforded her the loneliness and the freedom to develop her imagination, for which she is eternally grateful.

Serena has tried a variety of jobs and is now traveling N.Z. in a housetruck with her husband and three girls. She writes and paints any time she can and sometimes when she shouldn’t. She is working on a fantasy trilogy and hopes her stories will connect with, entertain and inspire her readers.
