Ripley Patton is the founder and first President of SpecFicNZ,though she has now turned the organization over to very capable Kiwis. She is an American by birth but lived a wonderful 5-year-long adventure in Christchurch, New Zealand before returning to her city of choice, Portland, Oregon. Ripley writes short speculative fiction and flash and recently finished and published her first novel, a YA paranormal thriller titled Ghost Hand, which was released in November 2012. Ghost Hand is the first book in The PSS Chronicles, with the second book of the series coming out in 2013.
