Scared Twitless: The Twitter Horror Fiction Contest

Here’s a contest that you can really sink your teeth into.

Get your 140-character freak on, and join us in the inaugural ‘Scared Twitless’ Twitter Horror Fiction Contest. And what a fantastic collection of prizes we have lined up for this one.

Entry is easy: Just write a piece of micro-fiction that could fit inside a 140-character tweet, which could be described – however broadly – as fitting in the horror genre, and email it to us at specficnz.fiction [AT] All entries received by midnight NZDST on Sunday November 4th will be added to the public voting form, which will run for two weeks. Voting closes on November 18th, and the winners will be up for the following amazing prizes from our members:

A signed copy of Mansfield with Monsters, by Matt and Debbie Cowens;

A signed copy of Tankbread, by Paul Mannering;

A signed copy of Bloodstones, featuring horror fiction by members Alan Baxter and Dan Rabarts and sixteen other great writers.

This contest is open to the general public, so you don’t even need to be a SpecFicNZ member to enter. Multiple entries from the same author are welcome – send in one, two, or as many pieces of micro-fiction your horrific imagination can create. We can handle it.

Spread the word far and wide, and help us make this the most exciting and horrifying Halloween contest on the internet this year.
