SpecFicNZ has taken a stall at this year’s Independent Book Festival, and we want to use it to sell and promote your books – but we need to hear from you asap!

The Festival will take place at the North Shore Events Centre, Auckland, on Saturday 3 October, 12-4pm, and Sunday 4 October, 10am-4pm.

In order to make our stall happen, we need volunteers to help set up the stall beforehand, staff it during the festival period, and clean up afterwards. A couple of hours or a whole day – whatever you can spare would be very much appreciated. Don’t feel you have to have books to sell to help out; this would be a great chance to learn about the indie publishing world for anyone thinking about trying it out. We also need books to sell! If you’d like to submit your books for sale on the SpecFicNZ stall, please email the details (title, author, publisher, RRP, ISBN) to Immi Paterson-Harkness (paterson.harkness@gmail.com). Books that are accepted should be posted to 2/32 Lochiel Rd, Remuera, Auckland 1050 with pre-paid, addressed packaging for returning any unsold stock. Please also include any promotional materials (postcards, bookmarks etc) that you want displayed on the stall.

You must be a current member of SpecFicNZ to submit books. Don’t be shy – join today! Please note that, although every effort will be taken to keep a close eye on things, SpecFicNZ cannot be held responsible for any shoplifting that may occur during the festival.

This is a great opportunity to let the world know about the fabulous talents of our members. We look forward to hearing from you!
