About

Louise was born in San Francisco to British parents, although her grandfather was a second-generation Kiwi of Scots-French descent. She moved to New Zealand in July 2012 and is studying statistics at the University of Auckland (as if two previous degrees weren’t enough), while desperately hoping she’ll get to sail in Waitemata Harbour sometime soon!

Her interests are wide-ranging, including writing, sailing, cooking, board games, skating, maths, music and cute animals (kiwis are a particular favourite!). She has no published work, due to a bad habit of not finishing things, and she is currently working on a large-scale science fiction novel about religion, a graphic novel series (just the writing, not the drawing), and a TV series. Apparently, she likes parentheses (well, you can’t use footnotes on these pages). She finds it annoying that so few of her story ideas are suitable for short stories, as these would be easier to finish.

She’s hoping that now she’s stopped moving continents, she might have more time for writing again, and for meeting other people with similar writing interests.
