Welcome aboard! We hope you enjoy your time in the SpecFicNZ Crit Group.
If you are new to the world of critiquing, be aware that it can take some getting used to, and even the kindest comments can hurt at first. When you receive a critique, it is best not to react, but put it away and forget it for a while if you don’t like it. Later, it may make more sense to you.
To submit an item for critiquing, please upload it or paste in as a new document in the Docs tab. Then, post an update to the group containing the title, subgenre (SF/F/H etc) and wordcount, plus a brief blurb so group members can decide if they want to critique it. You can also attach a link to the document.
Critiques can be submitted as comments to the update.
Please pay it forward! The admins here will be keeping an eye out for fair exchange, and if you don’t do your share, you may get booted!
And of course, if you find your perfect critique partner(s) here, you don’t need to stick around longer than you need to. We want to facilitate such connections!
Good luck…
