I’m a new Writer. I’m thirty-eight and discovered writing by accident when I wrote an instructional canoeing manual. I read all genres but I like to write little Science Fiction novelettes in which the characters are sort of normal but their circumstances are not. I like to tell stories that could be true if the world was just very slightly different, where readers can become a character without too large a suspension of reality.

My writing style is difficult to describe. I think I try to follow the rules of good story-telling rather than the rules of writing (which I have little experience of). Because of this, my stories are presented differently to most. I imagine the experience of listening to them as a radio-play while I write.
