One of the benefits of being a member of SpecFicNZ is keeping up to date with news, useful info, and what your fellow members are up to. Here are the different ways to stay in touch:

Follow our blog. Right here on www.specficnz.org is where we first post all the news, submission opportunities, member resources, writing competitions, publishing hints & tips and booky giveaways. Want to join in? Why not submit a blog post?

Newsletter. Once a week we email members a digest of everything that’s been posted on the blog recently, so you’re sure not to miss anything. (If you’re a gmail user, remember to check your ‘Promotions’ tab.) If you’d rather check the blog or subscribe using RSS, you can easily unsubscribe from the email newsletter.

Share your news. If you’ve just published a book or have some other big news to share, let us know! Post it in the member discussion area using hashtag #newssubmit a featured work for display on the homepage, submit a blog post or email us at [email protected] and we will help spread the word.

Chat to your fellow members. Use the member discussion area on the website to stay in touch with other SpecFicNZ members and join groups (such as the critique group) that interest you.

Use the resources. Over the years, SpecFicNZ has gathered many valuable resources for members: how-to guides, hints and tips for writing and getting published, insights into the New Zealand spec fic publishing scene, and much more. Dive on in!

Social media. We use Facebook and Twitter for general chat and amusing oddments. We know that not everyone uses social media so important news will always be published on our blog and newsletter.

Submit a question, concern or proposal to the committee. The SpecFicNZ committee is always keen to hear from members. Email us at [email protected] and please come along to the AGM (usually held in July).

Website issues? If you need help with the website or something is going wonky, contact our web person directly at [email protected].
